Discover South Georgian Bay

If you are looking at our site, you are likely considering a trip to the South Georgian Bay area. The area includes the communities of Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford, Clearview and Wasaga Beach, with attractions for every interest and age during every season of the year. We are continually amazed at the variety of activities, events, festivals and things to do within the Southern Georgian Bay area bordered by these great communities.

As members of the South Georgian Bay Tourism Association, we keep a close eye on what is going on each week and weekend throughout the year. We have brochure racks at the B&B which feature everything from golf to rock climbing, hiking to go-karts, and boat charters to beaching. We’ve got you covered. Dining Out

We have a large number of terrific restaurants within South Georgian Bay. Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford and Wasaga continue to amaze us with great restaurants that feature unique, professionally prepared dishes accompanied by local beers, wines and ciders.

We maintain a list of our favourite restaurants, and we are happy to share that list with our guests. We can send the list in advance of your arrival, and when you get here if you wish. Many of these great restaurants have their menus online.

We’re always happy to make reservations for you in advance of your trip or when you arrive. Feel free to ask us about our favourites; as foodies, we dine out regularly and keep tabs on where the best food is being served.

  • 5 star ratingWe stayed in the Forest suite with a beautiful view. Lovely room. We stayed here as part of an anniversary weekend. The property backs right on the Georgian Trail. Received great tips on restaurants and things to see. Food was amazing. Felt very welcome. We will be back. More

  • 5 star ratingHusband and I have stayed here twice (2019, 2021). First time was in the Mountain suite, second time in the Birch suite. Both rooms were gorgeous and felt right at home. The manor is connected to the Georgian Trial, which we hiked the first time, and did a bike ride and lunch on our 2nd stay. Every breakfast option is delicious, and the weather even cooperated during our stay so we could eat outside. We love recommending this place to friends, and always look forward to our stays here. Thank you Guy and Craig (and new puppy Fergus) for being amazing hosts!

I loved the back patio and lounge area that led to the Georgian trail. It was a perfect getaway from the big city and would definitely come back. Great location to go hiking and biking.

  • 5 star ratingGreat and relaxing stay at Craigleith Manor. You feel welcome by Guy and Craig during your entire stay - not only when Guy serves you his wonderful breakfast in the morning. Very nice house, amazing location right on the Georgian Trail and short drive to everything. We have stayed twice in the past three months and we would stay again.

  • 5 star ratingWe had an unbelievable time from the moment we met Guy and Craig to our final good byes two days later. Our hosts made us feel like we were part of their family. The conversations were delightful and the breakfasts were exquisite. We tried the dinner packages and trust me it was well worth it. There was six of us so only ordered two packages and that was plenty. This was especially convenient as we biked all day to Meaford and back so our desire to go out for dinner was nonexistent. We loved the B &B so much that we have booked two more nights in October to view the autumn colours. Thank you Guy and Craig More

  • 5 star ratingWe've stayed at Craighleith Manor MANY times and honestly, it's always spectacular. Immaculately clean, delicious food, great hospitality.

    Perfect experience!

We've been there for every season, and Guy always has thoughtful packages to help you explore Collingwood. This time we did a hiking experience with a BEAUTIFUL backpack picnic lunch.
