Discover South Georgian Bay

If you are looking at our site, you are likely considering a trip to the South Georgian Bay area. The area includes the communities of Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford, Clearview and Wasaga Beach, with attractions for every interest and age during every season of the year. We are continually amazed at the variety of activities, events, festivals and things to do within the Southern Georgian Bay area bordered by these great communities.

As members of the South Georgian Bay Tourism Association, we keep a close eye on what is going on each week and weekend throughout the year. We have brochure racks at the B&B which feature everything from golf to rock climbing, hiking to go-karts, and boat charters to beaching. We’ve got you covered. Dining Out

We have a large number of terrific restaurants within South Georgian Bay. Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford and Wasaga continue to amaze us with great restaurants that feature unique, professionally prepared dishes accompanied by local beers, wines and ciders.

We maintain a list of our favourite restaurants, and we are happy to share that list with our guests. We can send the list in advance of your arrival, and when you get here if you wish. Many of these great restaurants have their menus online.

We’re always happy to make reservations for you in advance of your trip or when you arrive. Feel free to ask us about our favourites; as foodies, we dine out regularly and keep tabs on where the best food is being served.

Guest Reviews

  • 5 star ratingSuper relaxing to stay in Guy and Craig’s lovely home, backing on to forest and Georgian Trail.
We’d been a little uncertain about staying in a B and B at this time but we’re reassured on arrival that our hosts and the other guests were all fully vaccinated. Better still we could eat breakfast outside on the - beautiful and very tastefully socially distanced - deck. (To be honest we’d have been comfortable eating inside had it been inclement even though we’ve only done patio dining since the pandemic began - but it all felt really safe.)

Guy’s chef skills are well evidenced once you’ve had one of his breakfasts - we really just had to have a longish hike afterwards after a huge but delicious breakfast with masses of choices!

Room cozy and comfortable- lovely balcony overlooking back garden and forest. Really enjoyed our short break - thanks! Recommend! More

  • 5 star ratingMy husband and I stayed at Craigleith Manor for 3 nights this past weekend. We had a great time and Guy was a wonderful host and chef! He gave us the perfect balance of hospitality and personal space to enjoy our time. Everything (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living space, outdoor space) was extremely clean. The manor is on a beautiful property with the Georgian Trail just beyond the backyard. We had a very relaxing stay and the breakfasts were delicious. Thanks, Guy & Craig (and Fergus, of course).

  • 5 star ratingThis was our first time travelling since 2019 due to Covid and we were very pleased with our choice. Guy has created a very safe and welcoming environment, implementing protocols while still creating a relaxing ambience. He is a very pleasant host and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations.

Catering to individual choice, Guy's breakfast menus provide a variety of options and ensure you can eat as much or as little as you want, with excellent quality regardless of what you choose.

The interior design and decorating was top notch and gave us a number of ideas in terms of renovating our home.

The B&B is immediately adjacent to the Georgian Trail, perfect for long distance bike rides, runs or walks.

If you are contemplating a trip to the Collingwood area, we highly recommend the Craigleith Manor Bed and Breakfast; you will not be disappointed.

  • 5 star ratingWe've stayed at Craigleith Manor 3 times now and will continue going back when we're in Collingwood. My wife and I absolutely love it. Guy is incredibly hospitable and a great cook -- I'm vegan as well and he is very accommodating of my dietary restriction.

The house is clean, the rooms are cozy, the location is great - backing onto the Georgian trail. If you're looking for a great stay in Collingwood, you've found it.

  • 5 star ratingThe entire stay felt straight out of a storybook. From the moment we arrived to our departure. Nothing but kindness, accommodation and information when requested. There’s not one complaint I could of even tried to make up. I felt very safe the entire time, everything was precisely cleaned and executed. I am in awe and surprised Guy hasn’t received his Michelin star yet, maybe a delay through the mail? The recommendations for dining were extensive and fantastic, however I would of paid any dollar amount to have your food for every meal. To top it all off, the place is decked out and so well kept I felt like I was in a magazine. The fresh flowers daily from Craig just put the entire experience over the top. Counting down the days to see you both again, thank you for everything!

  • 5 star ratingWe had a great time. Guy arranged the best restaurants & wine tasting for us & we loved it.
We liked his attention to details, clean, cozy place & good breakfast:)
We’ll definitely go back. Thank you Guy!

  • 5 star ratingWe recently spent 3 nights at Craigleith Manor, a lovely b and b set in a forested setting in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. Guy was an attentive host who made us feel at home and encouraged us to spend time in the beautiful living areas, both inside and outside. Oh, and did I mention the wonderful breakfasts? The delicious breakfasts are customized and made to order. Great attention was paid to ensuring that Covid protocols were followed. The rooms and common areas were pristine. There is easy access to the Georgian trail which is directly behind the house. It is a short drive to Collingwood or Thornbury and the village of Blue Mountain. Craigleith checks all the boxes.

  • 5 star ratingWe enjoyed a wonderful stay at this charming Bed and Breakfast. Nestled among trees in a quiet natural setting, the location was perfect for accessing various activities including the Scandinave Spa. Guy was a terrific host whose breakfasts made us feel like we were eating at a 5-star hotel. Whether we ate outdoors on the patio or indoors when it rained, the attention to detail was obvious. We appreciate the helpful tips, clean and comfortable environment, and beautiful artistic touches. We look forward to returning in the future!

  • 5 star ratingOur first visit to this adorable place tucked away from the world. Guy was fantastic in telling us where to eat out and local information about the trails, etc., and his great breakfasts were the best. Will be booking again in the forest room.

  • 5 star ratingThis was my second visit to Craigleith and currently booking the third. People who know me know that I chant and rave about this bed and breakfast. There are no words to describe how amazing the service is, food is, cleanliness is, and calmness is.
    Thank you for existing!
