Discover South Georgian Bay

If you are looking at our site, you are likely considering a trip to the South Georgian Bay area. The area includes the communities of Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford, Clearview and Wasaga Beach, with attractions for every interest and age during every season of the year. We are continually amazed at the variety of activities, events, festivals and things to do within the Southern Georgian Bay area bordered by these great communities.

As members of the South Georgian Bay Tourism Association, we keep a close eye on what is going on each week and weekend throughout the year. We have brochure racks at the B&B which feature everything from golf to rock climbing, hiking to go-karts, and boat charters to beaching. We’ve got you covered. To check out this amazing local resource online, see the Visit South Georgian Bay website.

Cycling in Simcoe & Grey Counties

The roads and trails are wide and bike friendly in our area of Ontario. Our B&B is very biker friendly with plenty of safe spaces for your bikes to be stored. The Georgian Trail is just off the back of our property and provides one of the best off-road flat surface cycling experiences anywhere in Ontario. Cycle the trail to lovely Thornbury only 17kms away from the bed and breakfast or ride into Collingwood and enjoy the Farmer’s Market. The Georgian Trail connects with the Collingwood Trails network for a seamless off-road experience. For even more information on Grey-Simcoe County Cycling visit Cycle Simcoe.

Local Arts & Culture

For information on local arts and culture happenings and places to visit check out the South Georgian Bay Arts Network. The South Georgian Bay area has one of the largest concentrations of artists in Ontario. The region is brimming with painters, photographers, sculptors, ceramic and textile artists, actors, musicians, dancers, and writers. These talented artists amplify the beauty of our natural environment and create events that allow locals and out-of-town guests to gather to celebrate and create community.

Dining Out

We have a large number of terrific restaurants within South Georgian Bay. Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Meaford and Wasaga continue to amaze us with great restaurants that feature unique, professionally prepared dishes accompanied by local beers, wines and ciders.

We maintain a list of our favourite restaurants, and we are happy to share that list with our guests. We can send the list in advance of your arrival, and when you get here if you wish. Many of these great restaurants have their menus online.

We’re always happy to make reservations for you in advance of your trip or when you arrive. Feel free to ask us about our favourites; as foodies, we dine out regularly and keep tabs on where the best food is being served.

We indulged in their ultimate couples package which included a trip the the spa - it was nice that Guy and Craig take care of all of the details for you and you just have to show up! They also offer a GREAT selection for breakfast…everything was so delicious!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay - HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!

  • 5 star ratingI had the pleasure of staying at the Craigleith Manor and it is one of the best experiences I've had at any B&B. The property is beautiful and in a perfect location, close to the ski village, spa and town. Guy was an amazing host and a breakfast chef extraordinaire, made us feel extremely welcomed. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful picturesque spot, a perfect getaway!

  • 5 star ratingLast week my friend & I stayed at Craigleith Manor and absolutely LOVED our 2 night getaway package, which included a Spa visit & wine tasting…in fact, the B&B was soooo relaxing, that we actually ended up bailing on our wine tasting, so we could instead just chill out in our comfy room 🙂

After 1.5 years of covid restrictions, a stay at this B&B and 3hrs at the Spa were just what the doctor ordered. It was definitely the most relaxed either of us have felt in months, so thank you so much, Guy, you are a perfect host! Your home is beautiful, location is perfect, and did I mention the bed?! So restful. We will definitely be back, and next time for longer!

  • 5 star ratingWe stayed in the "Birch suite", which overlooked the b&b's entrance - which was still a gorgeous view of snow covered trees. From the beginning, Guy made us feel super welcome and safe. Masks are mandatory on the main floor, multiple seating areas for guests, socially distanced tables for the complimentary breakfast.

The house, room and guest kitchen were all so clean. The in-room TV came with netflix and other streaming services. The complimentary robes and slippers were very comfy! Made us never want to leave.

Certainly set a high bar for our first B&B Experience!

  • 5 star ratingWe stayed in the Mountain Suite for two nights with wine tasting package in December for my wife's 60th birthday. What a beautiful house and property. Guy looked after us so well from booking, to answering my questions, welcoming us, feeding us two amazing breakfasts and good conversation. We have no hesitations in recommending this luxury B&B. Guy's restaurant recommendations were a hit too! This B&B also backs onto the Georgian Trail.

  • 5 star ratingThe hospitality of this place exceeded our expectations. The room was the right size for us and all the amities that came with it was great to have. If you forgot something- they had it there for you. The property is well taken care of and having the Georgian Trail right there was fantastic. The house was absolutely beautiful and let's talk about the gourmet breakfasts we enjoyed. We had two different menu's to choose from both mornings. The spa was 5 minutes away and everything else we needed was so close by. It was in a great location. The host Guy and Craig made you feel very comfortable from the moment we walked into their home.
We plan to go to this place next year.
