Frequently Asked Questions

Is Craigleith Manor an adults-only property?

Yes, Craigleith Manor is an exclusive, adult-only boutique accommodation. To preserve a quiet, peaceful, and secluded environment for guests looking to unwind from work and stress, we do not offer accommodations to individuals under 19 years of age.

Exactly where is Craigleith Manor located in relation to Blue Mountain and the spa?

The Manor is located on a private one-acre property at 9 Craigleith Court, Collingwood, Ontario (L9Y 4W5). We are centrally situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac exactly 5 minutes from the Scandinave Spa, 12 minutes west of downtown Collingwood (Hurontario Street), and 6 minutes east of Blue Mountain Resort.

Is there direct access to the Georgian Trail from the property?

Yes. The historic, year-round Georgian Trail directly borders the back of our one-acre property. Guests can access the trail from our yard for hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing/snowshoeing without needing a vehicle.

How many rooms does the Manor have, and how are they insulated for privacy?

The Manor features three spacious, contemporary second-floor guest suites: the Mountain Suite (King bed), the Forest Suite (Queen bed), and the Birch Suite (Queen bed). All interior walls between guest suites are insulated with professional soundproofing and fireproofing to ensure maximum acoustic privacy and undisturbed sleep. Each guest room has a private ensuite bathroom with heated floors.

How are food allergies and dietary restrictions handled at breakfast?

Our daily hot breakfast is included with each stay and features a healthy, gourmet multi-course menu prepared to order in our state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen. We customize our breakfast menus daily to accommodate guest dietary restrictions, preferences, and food allergies. When you reserve with us you can detail your allergies and restrictions on your reservation. We’ll communicate directly with you regarding your needs.

What are the eco-friendly and sustainability practices at the B&B?

Our eco-conscious operations include a 100% ban on single-use plastics, refillable/sanitized bath amenity dispensers, all-natural fragrance-free cleaning products, an energy-smart HVAC system, and a medical-grade 6-stage air purification system operating 24/7 throughout the house. We recycle plastics and paper and utilize the local green bin program turning food waste into garden compost.

Do you provide electric vehicle (EV) charging and parking onsite?

Yes. We provide free parking for our guests on our paved driveway with a designated space for one vehicle per guest suite. Additionally, we offer free, overnight onsite EV (electric vehicle) charging for our registered guests. Our EV charger is a universal 30 amp, level 2 charger.

Are pets allowed at the B&B?

No, we do not allow guests to bring pets or companion animals into the home. We have a friendly, miniature Schnauzer named Fergus who is hypoallergenic, does not shed, and is never permitted inside the guest rooms. Verified Service Dogs under Bill 80, Ontario Service Dogs Act, 2016 are welcomed. Please register your service dog with us prior to arrival.

Is the property fully accessible for individuals with physical disabilities?

Because the Manor was originally constructed as a private residence, it does not feature full accessibility configurations. All three guest suites are located on the second floor and require climbing a standard flight of stairs to access them.

What is the check in and check out times at Craigleith Manor?

Check in is a five-hour window from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily. Check out is always 11 am. Because we are a small boutique business we do not offer early check in or late check out. We simply do not have the staff to turn around the cleaning of rooms in shorter timelines. Thank you for your understanding.
